Mrs. Fillmore was the first to come out of the stunned shock caused by the creature’s deafening howl. “What is this? What is going on? She cried out. The trick or treater had somehow just trashed her house with what must have been a loud megaphone, she thought. Pictures had fallen off the walls smashing on the floor, even her end table with the candy had tipped over. Stepping in front of the still frightened boy, Billy, Mrs. Fillmore confronted the ghost. ”Who are you? How dare you wreck my house with your Halloween prank! Is it you Darrell?”
All the fear she had previously felt was now clouded by her anger. Bravely Mrs. Fillmore reached out and yanked up at the sheet and gasped when she saw that nothing was underneath it, nothing at all. To add to her horror, she felt the sheet she was holding move in her hand like a living animal. They were in trouble Mrs. Fillmore thought.
